Shwenandaw Monastery, and Kuthodaw Pagoda with its 729 marble stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures. Finally, sunset from Mandalay Hill where you can admire the beauty of Mandalay.
Visit to Amarapura, long teak old wooden bridge, Mahargadaryon Monastery where you can observe live life of over 1000Monks, silk weaving factory and traditional fabric workshops. Back to Mandalay and visit Mahamuni Buddha Image (one of the most venerable statues of Buddha covered with gold leaf), local artisan’s workshops of gold leaf making, woodcarving and marble.
One and a half hour drive to British hill station of PyinOoLwin and visit MahaAnthtooKanthar Buddha Image and PweKauk Waterfall. After that visit to the famous National Kandawgyi Garden; also called Botanical Garden, originally built by the British Government in 1917. In the evening drive back to Mandalay.
In the morning after breakfast, take a boat trip (one hour boat ride ) to Mingun along mighty Ayeyarwaddy River. During the river cruise, we may enjoy the fascinating landscape of the river as well as the daily life of the people living along the Ayeyarwaddy. Visit Mingun pagoda - unfinished pagoda & the biggest ringing bell of 90 tons, the unusual Myatheindan pagoda. After that sailing on the Ayeyarwaddy around Mingun while enjoying an authentic Burmese lunchand back to Mandalay.
